Digital pensions provider Penfold has launched a new platform built specifically for accountants, as part of a strategic shift towards reducing the time required for pension processing.

With the new launch, Penfold aims to save accountants time by enabling them to focus on objectives other than admin tasks. The digital pensions provider is registered in England and Wales and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Penfold uses intuitive technology such as ‘drag and drop’ bulk uploading and smart processing across multiple file types to achieve this. The platform also ensures accountants will no longer have to download, reformat, upload, and sort each individual file across each client.

A dedicated UK-based support team of account managers is on hand to quickly solve problems for both accountants and their clients. The Penfold Platform hopes to transform how people manage their pension contributions, as well as set a new benchmark for the pensions industry.

Pete Hykin, co-founder of Penfold, said: “Today’s launch of the Penfold Platform signals a new era of simplified and efficient pension management. Our aim is to redefine the pensions landscape by providing accountants with an exceptional, time-saving solution that is free of charge.”

Supporting accountants and employees alike

As the platform continues to evolve and develop the ways in which it makes accountants’ lives easier, Penfold’s main focus remains on delivering a platform that is intuitive, cost-effective and ultimately enables accountants to make the most of their time and resources.

The latest platform launch follows the launch of Penfold’s Solutions Hub, which aims to help employees, employers, and individual savers boost their pensions literacy. The offering for employees boasts the ability to track down and combine old pensions in minimal steps – ensuring individuals complete visibility over all of their savings.

The pensions provider has facilitated over £230million of savings, according to its website which also reveals that over 75,000 employees have a pension with Penfold.

Penfold has also explained that its Find My Pension tool has helped its customers recover lost pension pots worth millions of pounds. The tool doesn’t require users to organise old paperwork. Instead, its transfers team will contact previous providers on their behalf and take care of all related paperwork. For peace of mind, Penfold provides notifications to keep customers updated, as well as the ability to check in on the transfer progress from their personal Penfold dashboard.
